Mr. Boandl is a 1974 graduate of Salisbury High School in Allentown, PA. As a member of the 1973 Salisbury Falcon Band, he marched in and won the first Tournament Of Bands Group 2 Atlantic Coast Championship. He graduated from West Chester State College (now University) in 1979 and has been teaching at Nazareth ever since.
That was UGLY!
This activity is like no other activity. An athletic team can insert a "second stringer" if a player is missing that day.... A drama production can use an "understudy" to fill in a void.... a Marching Band can not!! You are all members of the "starting team". Each one of you has a speciific purpose and is responsible for yourself and to the others in our organization.
That might be ok in some other high school band but not here at Nazareth.
When you're here, you are on my time. The only time that counts is Boandl time. So set your watches to Boandl time, not ABC news or the radio... BOANDL TIME!
You are expected to represent the Nazareth School District and community with pride and dignity at ALL TIMES!
PDA (public display of affection) is not, I say IS NOT permitted at rehearsals and performances.... well, ON BOANDL TIME!
