Band Director 1973- 1979
Mr. George directed the band for six years. In 1978, he formed the Nazareth Junior High Cardinal Marching Band (grades 7 through 9) and directed both the Senior and Junior High bands. Due to health reasons he stepped down as Senior High Director and directed the Junior High Band until 1988. In 1989 the Junior High band was disbanded in the first step toward changing to a middle school/high school format, the 9th grade students as well as many 8th grade students became part of the high school band. He went on to become a general music teacher for the Nazareth Middle School. Mr. George retired from the Nazareth Area School District in 2004.
